I was lucky having the opportunity to borrow a pair of DUO loudspeakers from UBIQ-Ljubljana and having them at home for 3 weeks. To be honest, I didn´t realize the sound quality at the first moment, the first day or even the first week. But after setting up back my old Infinity Kappa 90, auditioning Martin Logan LS3 and later comparing with Sonus Faber Amati Homage and JM LAB Mezzo Utopia, my decision was clear: I want DUO! This is the most clear, precise and dynamic sound I have ever heard. Thank you, UBIQ! Thank you, Avantgarde!
I would buy your speakers on design alone. I'm an industrial designer and love your design solutions and the farther away from the box design the better. Have you considered making a pure 1 way horn? I would love see your design answer to this and hear the equally stunning sounds. Bravo for great design!
A really well produced broc#### containing good clear info. I auditioned the UNO at Audio Note Singapore,closed my eyes and sounded the most lifelike I've heard Even better than Lowther Just got to save up now!

Thanks for your quick reply. I received both packages and the information is great. One comment,though: In my opinion, there is a mistake in the Avantgarde-USA White Paper, page7, Figure 3 "Frequency Range in the Fo Area" The black line should read "spherical horn" and the gray area should read "exponential horn". That is, the exponential horn should be the one showing ripples or bumps at the cutoff frequency. Regards, Vladimir Dorta

I am travelling the world to determine what to put into a mastering studio. yesterday I heard your speakers (the Duos) and am very interested in using a set as a comparison set to ensure that my work will be truely enjoyable. I found them to be incredible at showing compression that I hadn't noticed before as well as having an incredible realism. This will be the first purpose built mastering studio in Western Australia. My first encounter your wonderful product was in Stereophile's audio show in LA, year 98. The "Duo" gave me a wonderful listening experience. Last month, I went to an audio shop which carried the Duo, even though their set up were so so, still it was a treat to listen your design again. After one hour of test listening, although I hate to leave the room, the saleperson invited me to a different room which carried other big name expensive speaker, when compare to the sound of the Duo, the sound from that set up was like listening to the radio. It just didn't sound right. One day when I am ready to upgrade my system, it will be a system base on your product. Thank you for bringing us such a wonderful speaker. Before closing, I have several questions: 1. Is there any sonic difference between the Compact and the Classic trio? 2. Is your product upgradeable? For example, may be you have a BIG horn cover 10-100Hz in the future! 3. What type of electronics or set up are used to drive the speaker, as the sonic reference when you design the product. I wonder do you use single ended amp? Thank you. speaker
It was a true pleasure and a hell of a listening experience today. It is the first time for me to encounter with your products. I have heard the duo and they were better than outstanding. I currently have a small pair of thiel speakers and now I am reconsidering with yours. Just wished that you can come up with something more compact and more affordable. I have never imagined that horn speakers would be that good for human voices. Also I was amazed that a few thousand dollars amp could easily run your $24,000 pair of duos.
I think the TRIO Classico is the BEST speaker in the World! And I have not yet heard it! Why do I think so? Because "I had a dream!". Some day this technology will come back in a big way! "I have forseen it". It just looks like (from the reviews) that these Hornspeakers need an Active Bass Module (Processor). Then elimination of Room Accustic problems will be possible! Resonance highs and lows in a given room will become balanced with the rest of the sound reproduction! I had planned to build Hornspeakers like these some day, but you already have them! Lucky me! I don't have to wait anymore! I LOVE YOU!

Hallo allerseits, haben die UNO in Kirchberg/Jagst gehört. Genialer Setup, für mich die beste, jemals gehörte Kette. Die Besitzer des Ladens sind topfit und vermittelten uns folgende Erlebnisse: Atmosphäre / Adrenalinausstoß über 2,5 Std / Spaß an allem, was wir hörten / Ermüdungsfreies Hören / Probleme aufzuhören / Hören mit dem Solarplexus. Diese dort gehörte Kette ist für meine Frau u. mich das absolute Maß aller Dinge in Sachen Musikreproduktion. Hier geht´s nicht um Hifi, sondern um Lebensqualität. Hört Euch die UNO in diesem Laden an und Ihr werdet feststellen - es gibt keine Alternative ! Grüße von Thomas & Anke Sponagel PS: Unsere Tochter mit 8 Monaten wurde friedlicher, wenn die UNO lief. Hi, I have the first exposure/hearing of your DUO loudspeakers last weekend at Audio Note Pte Ltd, Singapore. I am impressed although I had but spent only some 20 minutes hearing them. I will want to hear more this weekend before making my decision to purchase them. I am looking for a word of advise and that is IF the Audio Note MEISHU Integrated SE 300B (18 watts) will be sufficientt to drive them or would it be better to have them coupled to Mark Levinson electronics? Eure Hörner fand ich schon immer gut. Wenn eure Webseiten genauso schnell wären wie die Hörner, würde es mir doppelt so viel Spaß machen hier herumzustöbern. :-))
