Hallo Avantgarde-Team,
ich bin sehr angenehm überrascht von der neu gestalteten und nunmehr formatfüllenden Homepage. Meine Gratulation hierzu. So macht das surfen auf Euren Seiten noch mehr Spaß.
Leider kann ich dieses Jahr nicht bei der High-End in München dabei sein, da wir erst heute wieder aus unserem Frankreich-Urlaub zurück sind. Ich denke aber, die Bretagne und die Bourgogne im Mai waren auch nicht zu verachten.
Übrigens wird meine Duo immer besser. Ich bin richtig froh, das Upgrade von der Uno gemacht zu haben.

Schöne Webseiten..., nur dass in meinem Browser (Apple Safari) das Fenster unterdimensioniert ist. Bei der Intro hängt man zunächst hilflos fest, bis man ganz am Rand unten einen kleinen anklickbaren Bereich findet, mit dem man dann endlich zu den Produkten kommt.

I have used Avantgarde Trios with SUB225’s since March 2002. The decision to purchase was made after extensive listening at UK distributor Graham Tricker’s demonstration room. The horns replaced a much-loved pair of Posselt Albatrosses which at the time represented for me an ideal in loudspeaker invisibility and imaging but did admittedly lack dynamic punch and low-end extension.
The Avantgarde Trios represent a new state of the art – invisible, airy speakers but with all the dynamic range (and more !) that you would expect from more familiar monster-sized boxes. Used in a medium-sized London room the effect of the hornspeakers used with a variety of front-end sources but always via the Tron Meteor preamp/300B monoblock combination is truly awe-inspiring – a “real-life” experience in which the massive presence of which the speakers are capable is raised to perfection by the absolute honesty and neutrality of these wonderful amplifiers. I would unhesitatingly recommend this combination of equipment to anyone who loves music (and has the space to allow the system to show its capabilities) !
Sources used with the amplifier/speaker combination since 2002 have included Sony SCD1, Marantz CD7, Marantz SACD1, Marantz 10B, Leak Troughline, Garrard 301/3012/SPU-GT and Verdier/3012/SPU-GT. Whatever is in the groove, on the airwaves or in the digits, you’ll hear it loud and clear!
I hear buzz about the Super DUO with more subwoofer. what is this and how does it work? Does it have a separate sub cabinet?
I bought a pair of Uno's beacuase they are the most Child safe and could cope with my wifes incessant cleaning and polishing! They sound good too.
(the things a man has to consider with 5 children under the age of 8 and a wife that has destroyed 3 cartridges a brauer tonearm and 2 pairs of Veassen box speakers)
If Avantgarde want a Test ground for any of their kit then I would happily oblige.

Have been using these with SUB 225 sub woofers in a 7x6 metre room for 18 months. Tron PX25 amplification + Verdier / Clearaudio Accurate, mostly supplied by UK Avantgarde importer Graham Tricker.
Why did I buy? I am an imaging nut, wanting a 3D sound where the performers, be it a pop group of the Vienna Phil playing Mahler can be located in space and time with each other. Avantgarde Trio's were the first - and only - speaker I listened to that questions of imaging were completely irrelevent, despite their size. The performers were simply there.There was no question of whether they imaged properly, if the information is on the record you get it.This is difficult to explain until you have heard it, but to clarify I was using the same system with different speakers before I bought the Trio's and the results were nothing like it. Difficult acoustic instruments like the saxaphone have the harmonic complexity of real life and full symphonic works have soundstaging into the corners of the auditorium.
They're not HIFi. They are a musical instrument.

Guten Morgen Avantgarde-Team,
meinen Glückwunsch zu der am Wochenende stattgefundenen Veranstaltung in Hornbach. Das gewählte Ambiente, der Service, die Freundlichkeit kurzum das Kloster ist Spitze.
Die Vorführung war wie immer erste Sahne - diesmal ohne Umbau und ohne Kino - High End reinsten Wassers (o.k. das Thema Elektronik wurde schon oft diskutiert).
Herr Krauß und Herr Belzer haben locker durch das Programm geführt und die anschließenden Diskussionen waren von Experten für Laien durchaus verständlich (übrigens nochmals danke für den Tipp Herr Schneider, ich komme darauf zurück).
Was soll ich sagen, selbst mit DUO und 2-fach Basshorn bin ich, wenn nicht Galaxien so doch noch Lichtjahre, von einem Klang TRIO / 6-fach Basshorn entfernt.
Meinen Dank an Herrn Fromme für die immer wiederkehrenden Veranstaltungen (hoffentlich noch lange), die es einem ermöglichen ein Klangerlebnis der besonderen Art wahrnehmen zu können und an Frau Baudach die sowohl für einen produktgerechten Rahmen als auch das "drumherum" sorgt, damit Mann/Frau sich wohlfühlt.
Lassen Sie mich an dieser Stelle danke sagen - Avantgarde Acoustic hat mein Leben bereichert:

Die Veranstaltung in Mainz am 11.10. war wirklich super. Die Solo sieht mit dem Ständer mit Glasfuß wesentlich besser aus als im Prospekt. Auch die Vorführung der Duo war gelungen. Die Wiedergabe war am Anfang aber recht dürftig. Schuld waren die von einigen Besuchern mitgebrachten Horror-CD´´s (selbstgebrannt). Damit klingt selbst die Duo wie
ein Blechnapf. Man sollte wirlich nur Orginal-CD
guter Qulität zu Einsatz kommen lassen. Mfg.
Your Avant Garde speaker seems interesting. Me mysself have read about hornspeaker an know they are very efficient speakers.I also read in US Magazine stereophile that Avant Garde have no horn sound like other speakers.
I have just bought a thin 0,8 mm bahlender midrange element. Do you think it is a good idee to put it into a horn throut to make it more efficient? I am looking forward to hear avant garde soon.
