Your productsI saw the displays of your speakers in the Frankfurt AIrport Terminal 1. I thought they were very beautiful. One day I hope to be able to hear the sound demonstrated. I am sure it is wonderful. Now my ambition is to own a set when I finally achieve my ultimate sound system. All I have to do is convince my wife!!

ich war dieses Wochenende zu Gast auf der Hig-End in München und bin sozusagen in ihren Hörraum ,,gestolpert' - und war begeistert-. Für ihren (überaus) freundlichen Vorführer (der mit leicht grauen Haaren) war es überhaupt kein Problem auch mal eine Metallica-Platte oder die von mir mitgebrachte Musik zu spielen, obwohl ich als (armer) Schüler wohl nicht ihrer Zielgruppe angehöre. Bei Hersteller mit sogenannter ,,Diamant-Schlag-mich-Tod-Technologie' sah das schon anders aus... Und auch gegenüber bei den Radial-überall-im Raum-Sound wurde man ja schon fast mit den Blicken ,,rausgeschmissen' Lange Rede kurzer Sinn, Metallicas Bassattacken habe ich wohl seltens zu vor so impulsiv erlebt. Danke dafür.

P.S. Mindestens weiß ich jetzt auch wofür ich die nächsten ca.20-50 Jahre ;-) sparen muss.... sie könnten ja nächstes Jahr mal verschiedene Modelle ihrer LS vorstellen, obwohl die ,,Grossos' ja schon einen enorme Qualität hatten.
Ich darf mich hiermit recht herzlich für das o.g. Material bedanken.
Die gesamte Darstellung im Internet ist hervorragend und die Produkte sind für mich im Hornbereich das Nonplusultra.
Für mich ist das ein Beweis, dass es noch deutsche Spitzentechnologie und Qualität gibt, was ihre Produkte zum Ausdruck bringen.

es ist schon einige Jahre her das ich bei verschiedenen Vorführungen anwesend war, aber ich bin immer noch sehr beeindruckt von den Klangeigenschaften Ihrer Systeme. Ich bin zwar mittelweile auf einen Vollbereichs-Elektrostaten der Fa. Audi Exclusiv (P6A inkl. übertragerlosen Röhren-Endstufen) umgestiegen - doch reizt mich nach wie vor ein Horn-System. Ich möchte Ihnen ein großes Lob für die hervorragende Webseite und Ihren neuen Produktlinien aussprechen.

Two days ago I had an opporunity to listen to a set of TRIO with 4x CTRL225 subs.
The set was powered by my home-built Class A transistor amp, the source was a Sony SA-CD player.
Througout the tracks, ranging from church organ, to baroque, via male and female vocalists, percussion and ending with DJ Tiësto, a stunning impression was made.
A detailed, near-live experience describes best the reproduction the set made.
I can not afford to buy this set now , but I will wait until the next lottery drawing changes this.

I had in my ears the sound of the DUOs thanks to the set up of the DUO to two of my dealers.
The conclusion thanks to my new experience is that : there is no other speaker that I can hear anymore!. That is not a compliment, it is true. I have understood that all these 30 years in High End business, unfortunately I have lost (as most music lovers have lost) thousands hours of listening to the music but always with the wrong speakers. After auditioned to the DUO Avantgarde, the most of the other speakers sound nearly dead, unmusical, dark, artificial, without finesse, without live atmosphere, with wrong rhythm, wrong sound stage, wrong timing, wrong clarity, thin, without soul, without any live information and live enthusiasm, cheep and boring.
I can not imagine what I and my customers will feel with the next experience with the DUO OMEGA and TRIO!!
For me that was one of the most important experience/ surprise, in this job. I thank you for your trust to be your distributor in Greece and for your special products that will make me and other audiophiles-music lovers to feel how can be the real live music at home for first time.

Under specifications, the given crossover frequencies for UNO are 220 / 3.500 Hz and for DUO they are 170 / 2000 Hz. The given tweeter crossover frequency is not the same for UNO and DUO. However, this does nor correspond with the manuals for UNO and DUO where the tweeter crossover frequency is 3500 Hz for both models. What are the correct crossover frequencies for UNO and DUO?
Sorry for the confusion: indeed the crossover frequencies is 2000 Hz for DUO and 3500 Hz for UNO. Have a good start into a successful 2006!

Da ich schon viel Gutes über eure schönen Hörner gelesen habe, interessiere ich mich für ein paar DUOs resp. DUO-Omegas.
In einem amerikanischen Internetforum habe ich allerdings von mehreren Besitzern gelesen, dass die DUOs sehr kritisch bezüglich Aufstellung, Raum und Verstärkerwahl sind.
Selbst hatte ich bereits 2x die Gelegenheit, Avantgarde-Acoustic Hörner zu hören. 1x ein paar UNOs bei einem Händler und einmal die META PRIMOs an der High-End 2005.
Seltsamerweise klangen die UNOs um einiges besser als die META PRIMOs. Dies würde die Kritik bezüglich dem Setup bestätigen.
Obwohl die Eigenschaft, klangliche Details hervorzuheben (Auflösung) vielfach gerühmt wird, habe ich schon weitaus günstigere Lautsprecher gehört, die das viel viel besser machen. (z.B. reson rethm. Klar, dass der Bass bei den rethms nie an die Subs von Avantgarde rankommt. Bezüglich Auflösung haben die rethms aber viel Vorsprung.)
Da ich nach wie vor interessiert an den DUOs bin, eine Frage, die Sie mir vielleicht beantworten können (per Email): Lagen meine Beobachtunge tatsächlich am Setup? Falls ja, was muss ich denn beachten, dass die Hörner bei mir zu Hause so gut klingen, dass sie das Geld wert sind? Und wo kann ich in der Schweiz ein paar DUO-Omegas hören (so dass auch die Auflösung stimmt)?

I spent a lt of time tryng to get informations concerning solo speakers. I have several questions concerning those amplified speakers which seems to be fabulous.
1) do you have a distributor in France ? In case you don't, would it be possible to order directly to you for thoses speakers ?
2) what is the price for a pair of solo ?
3) I saw on your website different setting with the solo. (stands or on-wall fixing). Is it possible to know the different possiblities for setting up the system ? their prices and colors ?
4) I saw that different colors are possible for bigger systems (e.g. uno). Is it true for the solo (is there a choice for the color of teh stadn ? cabinet ? horns ?) what is the price for a special color ?
5) is it possible to get a copy of the instruction manual for the solo ?

I am interested in setting up a horn based system but I heard many bad things about horn. At the same time, I read a lot of good review around the world. I am primary lover of classical music, the delicacy of violin, cello; dynamic of piano must be very high standard to meet my needs. I am currently using Kharma Midi Exquidite reference speakers. My 2nd system wants something different. Do you think Duo Omega can satisfy my needs? I heard that Avangrade speakers are good for big band jazz and orchestra, for refinement and delicacy, I should look for other type of speakers. Do you agree? Where I can audition your speakers in Singapore?
