The engineering and fine-tuning of leading-edge loudspeakers requires that the speaker is driven by an absolutely clean and complete music signal. For this in-house application Avantgarde Acoustic developped a new proprietary amplification concept, thus creating ideal laboratory conditions. The concept features a zero feedback symmetric single-ended push-pull circuit, which works - contrary to usual designs - with identical transistors for both push-pull legs.
Due to the huge efforts, which were necessary to design the circuit, to select and match the proper parts and to design an adequate power supply, it was doubtful whether this power amplifier concept will ever be commercialized. But finally the typical enthusiasm, that is part of the Avantgarde Acoustic spirit, took over - despite commercial restraints.
And finally, after 4 years of research and engineering, the combined efforts of electronic engineers exterior designers and music lovers resulted in the probably most exciting power amplifiers of our time: the ONE POWER mono blocks.
